This site is dedicated to our Mom, Ruth. She was diagnosed with a very rare form of terminal cancer called Mesothelioma in August of 2008. She passed away peacefully on October 5th, 2009.

She is the incredible mother of 10 children and has 32 grandchildren. Through her example and love we have become a family with very strong ties. Her faith and love of the Lord shine through in all that she does. She is a light to everyone who knows her.

Please feel free to send your thoughts, feelings, or stories to heidi.wilson@cox.net or kbennion@cox.net and we will post them here for you as a memorial to Mom.

3rd Round of Chemo - One More to Go

The chemo drugs really wipe me out and I get pretty chilly and tired. This week we brought my "family" blanket. I received so many compliments on how beautiful and snuggly it was. The normal 4-5 hour infusion took six hours because they were short on chemo nurses. While I would never choose to do this - these chemo treatments with my daughters and sister have been a unique and treasured time together, we've shared something special - their support makes me want to try harder to overcome this disease and to continue to be able to support and care for my family - my greatest joy!

We make quite the scene with five or six of us marching into the chemo room with my chemo bag (comlete with snacks, games and my notebook for keeping track of labs, tests, and appointments), blankets and other paraphenalia necessary for us to have a good time. We enjoy playing games, visiting and getting to meet other cancer patients, and nurse Jennie has come to the rescue more than once!

That blanket is ADORABLE!!! And I'm literally tearing up thinking about all you wonderful ladies there together, supporting each other through all of this. What a wonderful blessing you are to each other. I can't WAIT to see you after Christmas! Much love, Liz

This is so neat. Thanks for letting me know about it. We both know how hard it is to talk on the phone and this way I can know what is going on with you. I love you so much and am praying for you every day.
Much love, Nan
